Meye Network is a feminist grassroots organizing platform that works for the equity of genders in Bangladesh through storytelling and design thinking across physical and digital spaces. Meye (Bangla for girl/woman) started as a women-centric online platform in 2011, and evolved organically into a multi-faceted network, battling discrimination based on gender, race, sexuality, class, ethnicity, ability, and other intersections through advocacy, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. Presently, Meye Network operates through four major wings: Sisterhood (the support group), Shondhi (the welfare wing), Rangtaa (the entrepreneurship platform), and OGNIE (the service design project). All organizational expenses of Meye Network are carried out by Rangtaa and the community members. Meye takes great pride in its human-centric, bottom-up approach to shared leadership, its practice of everyday feminism, and its self-sustenance.
