She is best known for her influential book “Ami Birangana Bolchi,” which gave a voice to the brave women who endured unimaginable horrors during the Liberation War of 1971. Neelima was a respected professor of Bengali literature at the University of Dhaka, and her contributions to education and literature have left an indelible mark. As a tireless advocate for women’s rights, she worked with organizations like the Bangladesh Mahila Samity, striving for a just and equitable society. Neelima Ibrahim was honored with the prestigious Ekushey Padak. Her work continues to inspire and empower us.
