Over the past week, Bangladesh has witnessed intense student protests demanding fair reforms to the government job quota system. These peaceful protests have been met with brutal violence, resulting in the tragic deaths of several students and over 1000 injuries.

The clashes have involved police using tear gas and blank rounds, while ruling party activists have allegedly attacked unarmed protesters with sticks and other weapons. This brutality against students seeking justice and equality is completely unacceptable.

We express our solidarity with the courageous students of Bangladesh who are fighting for their rights. The government must take immediate action to address their demands and ensure the safety of all citizens.
