Prominent feminist activist, Rehnuma Ahmed, was holding a placard with a photo of the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the words “STUDENT KILLER” in front of the police. The Prime Minister and police have been facing widespread criticism for their handling of student protests, which led to anti-government protests.
On 30th July 2024, Tuesday, the Protibadi Ganer Michil was organized by protesting socio-cultural organizations at 3 pm. They were protesting against the murders, disappearances, mass arrests, lying, and harassment cases in the nationwide anti-discrimination student movement.
