Two men, Md Selim (23) and Motiur Rahman (25), were arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl from the Marma community in Bandarban’s Naikhyangchari upazila.
- The victim has a speech disability and was attacked while bathing in a canal during Prabarana Purnima festival.
- The girl’s brother lodged a case against the duo, stating Selim dragged her into a bamboo grove while Motiur stood guard.
- The incident occurred on Thursday at 6:00 pm; the girl was found crying in the grove by her family.
- A case was filed under Section 9(1) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
- Police are investigating the incident.
