15-Year-Old Girl with Intellectual Disability Raped in Chittagong

A 15-year-old girl with intellectual disability was brutally raped in the Bayezid area of Chittagong city on Saturday evening.

A 14-year-old boy and Fakhrul Islam, a 40-year-old rickshaw driver, were taken into custody in connection with the crime.
The teenager allegedly raped the girl, and Fakhrul attempted to rape her after learning about the incident. He also hit the girl on the head with a brick.
Neighbors intervened, apprehended the perpetrators, and took the girl to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
During preliminary interrogation, both perpetrators confessed to the crime. The girl’s father filed a case with the Bayezid Bostami Police Station.
Inspector Md. Nuruzzaman confirmed that both perpetrators confessed during the initial interrogation.
