A 10-year-old street girl child was raped under the Shahbagh Metrorail station in Dhaka on January 15.

• The child was selling flower garlands in the area and was taken to a hut under the metro station by the perpetrator.
• People gathered after hearing the child’s screams and found the child in a bloody state.
• The police rescued the child and admitted them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
• A 19-year-old man named Raihan was arrested in connection with the incident.
