- The study, conducted in Rajshahi and Gazipur, surveyed 311 men and women, including students, garment workers, and transport sector workers.
- The data showed that women in Gazipur experienced high rates of mental (63%), verbal (63%), physical (45%), sexual (30%), and socio-economic (23%) violence.
- In Rajshahi, women reported high rates of verbal (87%), physical (52%), mental (27%), sexual (18%), and socio-economic (6%) violence.
- 36% of women reported being harassed on digital platforms.
- The study recommends awareness programs, removing social and cultural barriers, building trust among victims, and proper law enforcement to prevent violence.
