Two youths, Pradeep Das and Ala Uddin, were arrested on Monday morning (3 March 2025) for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman from a minority ethnic group in Companiganj, Sylhet.
– The incident occurred on Sunday (2 March 2025) evening, when the woman was kidnapped from Guchchagram and raped in a forest in Kalairag area.
– The victim escaped and filed a case with the police station on Monday.
– The police arrested the two accused and admitted the victim to Osmani Medical College Hospital.
– The arrested individuals have admitted their involvement in the incident and will be produced in court on Tuesday (4 March 2025).
