Abdul Malek, a 25-year-old teacher at a Hafezia madrasa in Gazipur’s Sreepur, was arrested on Saturday evening on charges of attempting to rape a 7-year-old student.
– The incident occurred last Thursday, and the female child had been reluctant to return to the madrasa since then.
– On Saturday, the child told family members about the incident, and they, along with local people, detained Abdul Malek and handed him over to the police.
– Abdul Malek confessed to the attempted rape, and a video of his confession went viral on social media.
– In the video, Abdul Malek claims he was “deceived by Satan” and had never done anything like this before.
– The child’s father filed a case against Abdul Malek at Sreepur Police Station on charges of attempted rape.
– The police are processing Abdul Malek’s arrest and preparing to send him to court.
– Inspector Shamim Akhtar of Sreepur Police Station confirmed Abdul Malek’s arrest and the filing of the case.
