Shariful Islam, a 30-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, was arrested for allegedly raping a 3-year-old child in Panchagarh.
– The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when the child was playing outside and Shariful took her to his house and raped her.
– The child’s mother heard her cries and went to Shariful’s house, where he tried to escape and threw a brick, injuring the child’s father.
– Local residents caught Shariful and handed him over to the police.
– The child has been admitted to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for treatment and has suffered major mental trauma.
– Evidence has been collected and initial tests have shown positive results, but further tests will be conducted.
– Shariful will be produced in court on Thursday.
