A women’s organization, Women’s Rights Movement, criticizes the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission’s report, saying it conflicts with the country’s Muslim majority women’s community expectations.

– The commission recommended withdrawing reservations on CEDAW, which the organization believes disregards religious beliefs.

– The organization opposes recommendations for constitutional changes, uniform family law, and laws on domestic violence, rape, and sexual harassment, citing conflicts with Islamic provisions.

– They also object to social recognition of sex work, considering it humiliating for women.

– The organization demands reform of the commission and formation of a new one representing mainstream women to revise the report.
