Islamic group protests women’s commission, demands action against members

On Saturday, April 26, Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, Senior Nayeb Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, criticized the Women’s Reform Commission, stating that religion has been insulted in its proposals.

– He demanded that those involved in the commission be brought under the law and tried publicly in Dhaka.

– Faizul Karim claimed the commission’s proposals aim to make women engage in bad deeds and promote Western culture.

– He criticized the government’s use of euphemisms for bad deeds, calling it “satanism.”

– Faizul Karim also demanded the complete repeal of the Waqf Act in India, alleging it aims to eliminate Muslims.

– Islami Andolan Bangladesh organized a mass procession in Dhaka to protest the Waqf Act and the Women’s Reform Commission.
