A 29-year-old Kheyang woman’s body was recovered from a forest in Thanchi, Bandarban.
– Locals believe she was raped and murdered, but police haven’t confirmed anything yet.
– The woman, a mother of three, had gone to the hills to cultivate jhum (jujube wasn’t specified as jhum wasn’t mentioned but rather jujube was, however jhum cultivation or jujube cultivation both can be possible, however since locals said jujube, lets keep jujube) in the morning and didn’t return home.
– A search party found her body with injury marks and reported it to the police.
– The police are investigating and will provide details after their team returns from the scene.
– The incident occurred in a remote area, about 38 kilometers from Thanchi Upazila headquarters.
