A 19-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in Patuakhali’s Sadar Upazila on Tuesday at around 8:30 pm.
– The victim claimed 5-6 youths were involved, including two she knew, Mithu and Miraj, who had been harassing her previously.
– Two suspects, including Mithu, have been arrested, and one has confessed to involvement.
– A case has been filed against five named individuals and three unknowns.
– The victim’s father reported previous harassment and threats to local dignitaries without resolution.
– Medical examination results are pending, but the victim is physically unwell.
– Police are working to arrest the other suspects involved.
