A 16-year-old intellectual disability girl was allegedly raped by two youths in a paddy field in Magura Sadar Upazila.
– The girl’s mother filed a case under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act, and two youths were arrested.
– One of the accused is the girl’s cousin, and he allegedly confessed to the crime in court.
– The police are investigating the case and have made arrangements to record the victim’s statement with the help of an expert.
– Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal leaders and activists held a protest march demanding punishment for the accused.
– The incident occurred shortly after a court in Magura sentenced a person to death in a separate child rape case.
