Actress Nusrat Faria has been granted bail by the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court after being arrested in a murder attempt case. The court ordered her release on bail following a hearing where her lawyers argued that she was not in the country at the time of the incident. Nusrat’s lawyers submitted documents to support her alibi, which likely contributed to the court’s decision to grant bail.
Nusrat Faria was arrested on Sunday at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while attempting to travel to Thailand. She was subsequently brought to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) office for interrogation. The case against her stems from a complaint filed by Enamul Haque, who alleged that he was shot in the Bhatara area of Dhaka on July 19. The complaint named 283 people, including 17 actors and actresses, with Nusrat Faria being one of them.
