A group of students at Satkhira Government College submitted a memorandum to the acting principal and the Additional District Commissioner demanding that teacher Nadira Yasmin not be allowed to join the college.
– Nadira Yasmin was transferred from Narsingdi Government College to Satkhira Government College after Hefazat-e-Islam demanded her removal, accusing her of publishing “controversial writings”.
– The students’ memorandum demands an investigation into allegations against Nadira Yasmin, legal action, and that no one with a similar background be appointed or transferred to Satkhira in the future.
– The students claim Nadira Yasmin’s comments on religion are hateful and her presence will negatively impact students’ mental development.
– Acting Principal Mohd. Al Mustansir Billah said he will forward the memorandum to the concerned authorities, while Additional District Commissioner Bishnupada Pal stated that the decision will be made by the Education Ministry.
