We are honored to share Episode 12 of the Bangladesh Feminist Oral History Project, an initiative by the Bangladesh Feminist Archives dedicated to documenting and amplifying the voices of Bangladeshi feminists across generations.

In this episode, we speak with Tasaffy Hossain, a feminist storyteller, organizer, and founder of Bonhishikha – unlearn gender, a Dhaka-based initiative that has worked since 2010 to foster feminist leadership, disrupt gender norms, and build collective feminist futures in South Asia.

Drawing from over a decade of work across development, activism, and regional networks, Tasaffy shares her journey into feminist consciousness and her vision for inclusive, intersectional spaces of care, critique, and courage. From challenging restrictive norms to navigating donor frameworks, from building feminist youth leadership to imagining transnational solidarities, this conversation is grounded in both lived experience and radical hope.

Topics Discussed:
-Early feminist and political awakenings
-Founding Bonhishikha and practicing unlearning
-Storytelling, dialogue, and collective feminist imagination
-Working within and resisting development structures
-South Asian feminist solidarity and future-building
-Archiving feminist histories and practices for the next generation
