A 9-year-old girl’s body was recovered from the second floor of a mosque in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on Sunday morning. According to police, the child had been missing since Saturday, and her body was found with injuries suggesting possible homicide. The mosque’s muezzin has been brought in for questioning, and a joint investigation is underway by the local police station and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI). The body has been sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The incident has sparked a thorough investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. As per Officer-in-Charge Morshedul Alam Chowdhury, locals informed the police station after discovering the body, leading to the prompt recovery and initiation of the investigation.
