A 12-year-old boy was brutally raped and murdered in a hotel room in Jatrabari, Dhaka. According to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), two men lured the child from Kamalapur railway station by offering food and shoes. They later took him to a residential hotel named ‘Anwara’ on July 14.
The suspects, identified as Al-Amin (34) and Saddam, allegedly raped the boy at night. The child became ill after the assault. When he resisted further attempts in the morning, the men beat him to death with a belt.
Police recovered the child’s body from the fifth floor of the hotel. Al-Amin was arrested in Tongi, Gazipur, and has confessed to the crime. Saddam is still at large. The victim’s body remains unidentified and is being kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
