On July 22, 2025, a second-grade girl was returning from Madrasa around 2:00 pm. While on her way, a 53-year-old man named Shaheen Miah lured her into his tea shop and raped her. The victim was later dropped at her own house, bleeding profusely and severely injured. According to a health officer at Ramgarh Upazilla Health Complex, the girl was in critical condition and was referred to Chattogram Medical Hospital. The girl’s father filed a case on the same day around 8:00 pm, and Shaheen was arrested three hours later. The OC of Ramgarh Police Station stated that Shaheen confessed to his crimes during interrogation and was subsequently sent to jail.
