Two women, Maria Akhter Smriti, 21, and Fatema Akhter, 40, were found dead in separate incidents in Kaliakoir, Gazipur, on Saturday night.
– Smriti, a resident of Mymensingh, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself due to marital strife with her husband, Shahidul Islam, a salon businessman.
– Fatema, a garment worker who lived with her third husband, Monir Hossain, in Arabari, also allegedly took her own life by hanging herself from a tin shed roof, possibly due to marital disputes related to her multiple marriages.
– Both bodies were sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
– Initial police investigations suggest suicide in both cases, but further inquiry is needed to confirm the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
