Police have recovered the body of a woman named Rini Begum (32) from the abandoned court of Badruddoza Haider, locally known as Doja Pir, in Lachmanpur union of Sherpur Sadar upazila. The body, dressed in a burqa, was found on the third floor of the three-story building on Sunday (September 7) afternoon after locals noticed a foul smell.

Rini Begum, a mother of three, was originally from Bauramari in Jamalpur Sadar upazila. Her in-laws live in the nearby village of Charjangaldi, and her husband is a farmer. According to locals, the building has remained deserted for months following a fatal clash between Doja Pir’s followers and devotees nine months ago.
