The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to provide equal daily allowance and tour fees for both male and female national cricketers, following recent statements by women’s team captain Nigar Sultana Jyoti about disparities in pay and opportunities.

Confirming the decision, BCB Women’s Department Chairman Abdur Razzak said that from now on, the daily allowance and tour fee will be the same for men and women cricketers.

Previously, when male players such as Mehedi Hasan Miraz played bilateral series abroad, they received a total of $115 per day in allowance and tour fee ($75 + $40), while women cricketers received only $75. Under the new arrangement, women cricketers will now receive equal financial benefits.

According to the BCB Women’s Division, the decision was finalized at the board’s last meeting, led by BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul and former Vice President Nazmul Abedin Fahim.
