Bangladesh Islami Chhatrisangstha, Jagannath University (JU) Shakha organized a two-day hijab distribution program titled “Modest Glow Mission” on Tuesday and Wednesday. The second day of the event took place on the ground floor of Shaheed Sajid Bhaban on Wednesday.
Organizers stated that 1,150 female students registered online between the morning of November 10 and the morning of November 11. Most registrants collected their hijabs on Wednesday, and the organizers said remaining items would be delivered to students who could not attend.
JU Shakha president Sukhimon Khatun said the program included students who wear hijab and those who do not, adding that the goal was to promote a “positive attitude” toward hijab among female students. Organizers said the registration response exceeded expectations.
Several students collected hijabs from the program, describing it as an opportunity to participate in campus activities. The organizers said distribution would continue until all registered students received their items.
