Three police officers were injured in Parshuram upazila of Feni today while investigating a complaint filed by a 46-year-old woman alleging assault and harassment by two neighbours. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the Dakshin Kolapara area, where assailants reportedly attacked the officers with a knife and sticks.
According to Parshuram Model Police Station, constables Ruhul Amin and Md. Nazmul sustained stab injuries, while Sub-Inspector Munna Dey was beaten. All three received treatment at the Parshuram Upazila Health Complex.
Police said the woman had submitted a written complaint on Thursday morning naming Imam Hossain (28) and Rajib Majumdar, sons of Faruk Majumdar, as the accused. Officers visited the area today to speak with both sides. As they were returning, a group led by Faruk Majumdar and his sons allegedly ambushed them, injuring the officers before fleeing.
Officer-in-Charge Md. Nurul Hakim stated that multiple police teams, including the Detective Branch, are conducting operations to arrest the attackers. The accused have remained absconding since the incident.
