A General Diary (GD) has been filed at Gulshan Police Station against GM Haider Sajjad, Joint General Secretary of the Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation, following allegations made by three national female shooters. The GD was filed on November 26 by one of the athletes.

According to the GD, the athletes—who are all national and international medalists—reported that on September 20, Sajjad threatened to rape two of them inside the Federation premises. One shooter also stated that on October 25, Sajjad called her to his office, kept her there for more than four hours, and subjected her to mental harassment and insulting remarks, affecting her training and emotional well-being.

The GD additionally mentions allegations against national shooting team coach Sharmin Akhter, accusing her of disrespectful behaviour and demeaning comments. The complainants said that after they spoke about the incidents on social media on November 9, Sajjad pressured them to “compromise” and issued further threats if they did not.

On November 27, Gulshan Police Station OC Md. Hafizur Rahman confirmed the filing and stated that police will proceed with an investigation pending court approval.

Responding to the allegations, GM Haider Sajjad told the media that the complaints are baseless and added that one of the shooters is not a member of the Shooting Federation.
