Police recovered the body of 43-year-old Sabikun Nahar from a rented house in Bogra city on Saturday night after breaking open the door. Sabikun, originally from Hondalpara village in Chittagong Port area, had been living in a house in Jamilnagar for the past nine months. The discovery was made when the landlord, unable to reach her by phone since the afternoon, looked through the window and saw her lying unresponsive on the bed.

According to the landlord, Sabikun had rented the house with a man she described as her husband, though his identity remains unknown. She had recently told him that they had divorced a week earlier. When the landlord later called the man to inform him of her death, he allegedly hung up without responding.

Police and local sources said the body was found lying on the bed with a mask covering her face. Two packets of food and some medicines were on the bed, and the house appeared orderly with no signs of struggle or forced entry. Investigators noted that no visible injuries were found on the body, and diabetes medication was recovered from the scene.

The body has been sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police say they will be able to confirm whether the death was natural or suspicious once the report is received.
