Three teenage males have been arrested in Ishwarganj upazila of Mymensingh after a woman’s private bathing video was secretly recorded and shared online, police said. The arrests were made following a case filed by the victim, and the accused were sent to jail on Monday afternoon, December 22.
According to police, the incident occurred in Charhosenpur area of the upazila, where the accused allegedly recorded a video of a woman bathing inside the bathroom of her own home without her consent. The video was later circulated among them through Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, violating the woman’s privacy.
The arrested individuals are Arafat Hossain Bhuiyan Rudra (16), Sharif Mia (15), and Turjoy Debnath (17), all residents of the same area. After the matter came to light, the woman filed a complaint at Ishwarganj Police Station, prompting law enforcement action.
Ishwarganj Police Station OC Rabiul Azam said a case was registered under pornography-related laws and that a joint operation involving police and the army led to the arrests. “The matter is under investigation,” he said, adding that further legal steps will be taken based on the findings.
