Four Women Found Dead in Separate Incidents Across Dhaka

Police recovered the bodies of four women from separate locations in Dhaka between the night of January 16 and the morning of January 17, 2026, according to police sources. The incidents took place in Badda, Mirpur, Demra, and Jatrabari. All four bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

In Jatrabari’s Konapara Adarshbagh area, a 29-year-old woman was found dead in her residence on Friday night. Police said the body was recovered after family members informed them. The woman worked at a beauty parlour and had been living separately following a divorce. The death is being treated as an unnatural death pending post-mortem examination.

In Demra’s Purba Boxnagar area, police recovered the body of a 36-year-old woman from a house during the early hours of Friday night. In a separate incident, the body of a 19-year-old woman from Mirpur’s Sector 10 was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital by relatives on Saturday morning, where doctors declared her dead.

In another incident, police recovered the body of a 30-year-old domestic worker from a residence in the Aftabnagar Baghapara area of Badda. Police stated that she lived in the house with her husband and that the incident is being investigated as an unnatural death following reported family disputes. Investigations are ongoing in all four cases.
