Islami Andolan Bangladesh unveiled its election manifesto ahead of the 13th National Parliament election, outlining 12 special promises including housing for women garment workers and cash support for low-income citizens. The manifesto was announced on Wednesday afternoon at the party’s central office in Paltan, Dhaka, by Ameer and Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim.
Under the theme “Bangladesh of People’s Expectations,” the manifesto emphasizes Sharia as a public aspiration, commitment to the July Charter, youth employment, good governance, and expanded citizen services. Charmonai Pir said the manifesto aims to reflect public expectations shaped by the Liberation War and the July Uprising.
Among the 12 promises, the party pledged a monthly allowance of Tk 5,000 for the extremely poor and vulnerable, one nutritious meal per day for all primary school students, and interest-free, collateral-free one-time loans for youth aged 18–24. It also proposed a universal health card, subsidized agricultural inputs, and agricultural service cards.
The party said it would launch a national job portal to connect job seekers with opportunities at home and abroad and provide guidance and training. It also pledged to establish daycare centers for working mothers, introduce government-controlled bus management in cities, ensure seamless citizen services, and create housing facilities for women garment workers.
Other commitments include price control by breaking illegal syndicates, a service-oriented tax system, recognition of the Qawmi Charter, and appointment of religious scholars to state positions. Charmonai Pir said the party is committed to implementing the manifesto if elected.
