A 15-year-old girl was abducted and killed in Narsingdi, Bangladesh, after her family sought justice for her alleged rape. The girl’s mother filed a case against nine people, including a local BNP leader and his son, with Madhabdi Police Station on Thursday night. Police arrested five accused, including Ahmed Ali Dewan, former member of Ward No. 9 of Mahishasura UP and vice-president of Union BNP, and his son Imran Dewan.
The girl had been in contact with a local youth named Noora, who allegedly led a group that abducted and raped her 15 days prior. The family approached Ahmed Ali Dewan for justice, but he allegedly colluded with the accused and suppressed the incident. On Wednesday night, Noora and his associates kidnapped the girl from her father, and her body was found in a field the next morning.
Local MP Khairul Kabir (Khokon) assured justice for the victim’s family, stating that all culprits would be arrested. Police are conducting a drive to arrest the main accused, Noora.
