A woman has been killed in Bogura, with allegations that her husband stabbed her to death following a domestic dispute. The incident took place in Shibganj Upazila, and police recovered the body from the couple’s home on Wednesday.
The deceased, Shilpi Begum (32), was the wife of Mintu Mia, a resident of West Mridhapara area under Bihar Union. According to police, Mintu Mia has been absconding since the incident.
Police and local sources stated that the couple’s marriage had been marked by ongoing domestic violence, with repeated incidents of physical abuse. Authorities said the killing took place between Tuesday evening and late Wednesday morning inside their residence.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and recovered the body from the bedroom. The body has been sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police confirmed that a case is being prepared in connection with the incident and that multiple teams are working to locate and arrest the accused.
